Starting in Salford Quays, the Irwell Sculpture Trail stretches along a 33-mile footpath through Bury into Rossendale and up into the Pennines. It’s the largest sculpture trail in the United Kingdom.
Dotted along the trail are 70 art pieces created by a mixture of regional, national, and international artists in a range of styles and materials.
The sculptures draw upon the rich histories of their locations and can be found in all manner of places, from urban environments to atop hillsides. They’ve also been divided into clusters, for ease of exploration.
